It stresses me out when I get a phone call from “unknown.” I never answer them. I already dislike talking to most people on the phone. I refuse to call people I don’t know (take-out food places, the bank, people who answer phones for a living) because it makes me really uncomfortable. So if my phone rings, and I look at caller ID and it’s a restricted number, I kind of freak out. Who is calling me while intentionally not letting me know who it is? I suspect it is someone I don’t recognize, with a vaguely malicious intent. They’re calling to do something bad, but I don’t really know what. 

I let the phone ring until my voicemail picks it up. So my phone’s now silent, and I’m just staring at it, wondering if they’ll leave a message. Or if they’ll call again.
